The first trailer for “A Minecraft Movie” has arrived, with Jack Black leading the cast in this exciting adaptation of one of the best-selling video games of all time. Set to hit theaters on April 4, 2025, the film transports characters into the iconic blocky world of Minecraft. In the trailer, Black humorously declares, “I… am Steve,” much to the groans of his crew, who have been transported into the game’s fantasy universe.
Directed by Jared Hess, known for “Napoleon Dynamite” and “Nacho Libre”, the highly anticipated Minecraft movie features an impressive ensemble cast, including Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Eugene Hansen, and Jennifer Coolidge. Backed by Warner Bros. and Legendary, the film brings the game to life, with Mojang Studios—the creators of Minecraft—serving as producers.
